The Department of Speech and Language Therapy began its undergraduate academic activities in the 2022–2023 academic year. Currently, the department has 1 professor, 2 assistant professors (Ph.D.), 1 lecturer with a Ph.D., and 2 research assistants. Our academic staff is continuously expanding in line with the department's growth and development goals.

Educational, research, and clinical training activities are conducted both in the department’s laboratories and in affiliated healthcare institutions. Based on a protocol signed between the Mersin Provincial Health Directorate and our Faculty of Health Sciences, students have the opportunity to carry out clinical practice in primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare centers. In the near future, it is also planned that clinical training will be carried out within our newly established Research and Application Center.

Our students receive training in basic sciences in well-equipped laboratory environments and actively participate in clinical observation and practice to support their professional development. The language of instruction in the department is Turkish.
