Project Title: Investigation of the Effects of Radiotherapy and Subsequent Holistic Voice Therapy on Voice Quality in Early-Stage Laryngeal Cancer Patients

Project Duration: 12 months

Project Summary:
Laryngeal cancer, which holds a significant place among head and neck cancers, is a type of cancer particularly prevalent in men and one that can seriously impair voice quality. Although radiotherapy is a commonly preferred treatment method for early-stage laryngeal cancer, voice disorders that may occur post-treatment can negatively impact patients’ quality of life. In this context, voice therapy emerges as a crucial rehabilitation tool during the post-radiotherapy period.
This project aims to assess changes in voice quality in individuals who have undergone radiotherapy through perceptual, acoustic, and aerodynamic analyses. Subsequently, the effects of a holistic voice therapy program will be examined in a multidimensional manner. The findings of the study are expected to contribute to the development of scientifically grounded and personalized intervention approaches for post-radiotherapy voice rehabilitation.
