An awareness event was organized on the university campus by the Department of Speech and Language Therapy, Faculty of Health Sciences, Tarsus University, within the scope of World Voice Day (April 16).
As part of the event, informative materials focusing on proper voice use, diaphragmatic breathing, and maintaining vocal health were presented at the exhibition stand. The event aimed to highlight the importance of voice as a key factor directly affecting individuals’ quality of life.
The event attracted significant interest from academicians, students, and administrative staff across the campus. Participants were provided with information on breath control, healthy voice production, and voice hygiene.
In addition, our students conducted short interviews on campus regarding proper voice use and voice hygiene. Various topics were addressed, including the impact of daily habits on vocal health, contributing to increased awareness among participants.
Through this event, it was aimed to raise public awareness and enhance participants’ knowledge and awareness regarding vocal health.
We would like to thank all our students, faculty members, and participants who contributed to the success of this meaningful event.
